The
Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Assurance (SHEQ) Co-ordinator is responsible for supporting the development,delivery, and assurance and best practice standards.

The day to day

  • To follow top level EHS standards throughout the business, ensuring that the business is legally compliant and kept up to date with applicable changes in EU and local legislation. To be part of the EHS committee.
  • To support the business to continuously improve Behavioural Safety and Unsafe Situation Reporting culture across the business.
  • To support the quality and process continuous improvement (CI) programme working closely with the departmental CI teams across the business.
  • To support the programme of internal QA and EHS audits, ensuring the site is compliant with policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Liaising with external auditors (including customer and supplier audits) as and when required, this includes off site auditing.
  • To support the business to ensure Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments and Emergency response processes are in place and reviewed as required.

You will have/be

  • Relevant EU Health & Safety qualification with working experience of supervising Safety
  • Previous responsibility for quality assurance, in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Trained in, and working experience of, internal and/or customer audits.
  • Understanding of and use of lean manufacturing techniques in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Fluent in English reading and verbal

This is a full-time permanent role. The offered salary for this opportunity is
£30,000.
