About theTeam
HMTreasury implements financial sanctions in the UK, and Office ofFinancial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI) fulfils this role on itsbehalf. It leads on the implementation of UN and UK financialsanctions and domestic terrorist asset freezing, providing ahigh-quality service to the industry and guidance to help themfollow the law. OFSI works closely with law enforcement,intelligence agencies and policy colleagues across Government, tohelp ensure that financial sanctions are accurately understood,implemented andenforced.

This role will be for a short term compliancemonitoringproject.
Aboutthe Job
Inthis role, key responsibilities will include:
- Lead your own caseload of serious,complex or high-profile reporting cases ensuring they are reviewedand closed or advanced to the Enforcement unitaccordingly.
- Effectively manage the performanceand development of two compliance monitoring officers, making surethat they meet their individual and collective objectives andtargets of the team.
- Develop and maintain dataanalysis tools to lead, summarise and present licensing reportinginformation, in an understandable and usable format for internaland external partners.
- Maintain up to dateknowledge of developments in licence drafting policy andenforcement strategy, apply and pass on this knowledge asappropriate.
- Responsible for coordinating andquality assuring responses to external data requests into the teamwithin specified timescales.
- Support on work toput in place new tools and processes for building a picture of thescale of non-compliance in licensing reporting and work withcolleagues across OFSI to devise proactive outreach and engagementactivity.

Weare recruiting for four roles in the Compliance Monitoring team,within the Enforcement unit in the Treasury's Office of FinancialSanctions Implementation. These are roles that will provideopportunities for the post-holder to be creative and innovative aswe look to make changes to further strengthen our compliancemonitoring processes and practices.
We are looking forpeople who have a good attention to detail and a structuredapproach to managing their work, who have the right set of skillsfor the role. They will be able to demonstrate the positive valuesof our organisation, and an ability to quickly develop anunderstanding of a technical and sensitive operational policy areaand an ability to distil complex information clearly and concisely.No previous experience of this type of work is required withtraining to be provided – just a keen interest in the role and awillingness to learn.
