- Community IDVA to join a team based across North Somerset.
Your new roleYou will be providing a co-ordinated package of emotional and practical support, advice and advocacy to survivors of domestic violence and their children, who are in need of urgent support and advice.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Be IDVA qualified or willing to study IDVA training
- Have substantial experience of working with survivors of sexual violence and/or domestic abuse
- Have experience of carrying out needs and risk assessments, coproducing safety plans with women and children experiencing domestic abuse
- Experience providing support to individuals to sustain/ manage their tenancies and avoid tenancy breakdown
- The ability to provide respectful, nonjudgemental, and confidential support to women and their children
- A full driving licence and access to transport
