We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Fertility Specialist/ Consultant to join our busy clinic in Maidenhead.

You will be a skilled professional with experience or have an interest in developing skills in assisted conception and have the desire to be part of the largest provider of IVF in the UK.


TFP Fertility has a comprehensive network of world-renowned clinicians who share their views and knowledge across all the TFP Fertility clinics.

You will manage the care of new and existing patients from the consultation process through to the completion of treatment working within the framework of evidence based clinical policies and protocols.

The post holder must have a full GMC registration and will work with the multidisciplinary team within the clinic.

The post holder will be responsible for delivering and maintaining the highest standard of clinical and patient care in accordance with HF&E Act 2008 and the current HFEA Code of Practice.


Roles and responsibilities:

  • HyCoSy & Saline procedures
  • Egg collections
  • Embryo transfer lists
  • Work closely with medical, nursing and other colleagues to offer the highest level of patient care
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary fertility team
  • Conducting Consultations
  • SSR procedures desirable
  • Provide weekend on call commitment
The above will be reviewed as required, in consultation with the post holder.

The post holder must maintain confidentiality of information about patients, employees and other Company business in accordance with the National and European data protection legislation.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Full GMC Registration and inclusion on the Specialist Register
  • High Diploma (Fellowship or Membership) of Speciality College MRCOG or equivalent
  • Experience in Gynaecology and Fertility
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical experience working as a Consultant, Fellow or Doctor
  • Subspecialty training in Reproductive Medicine, BFS training modules or ATSM in subfertility desirable
  • Effective communication skills regarding medical topics with both patients and colleagues
  • Patient focused attitude
  • An understanding of the biology and scientific evidence underpinning clinical practice
  • Strong knowledge of the HFEA Code of Conduct
  • An understanding of the work of related disciplines
  • An appropriate level of supervision and management skills
  • An understanding of prevailing legislation
  • An understanding of, and ability to apply, quality assurance and monitoring of clinical performance

Hours:
Full Time 37.5 Hours per week.

Training and qualifications:
Help and assistance will be provide to complete ATSMs or BFS training modules where appropriate
