  • Initial analysis of an enquiry to establish approximate value, document quality and agree with team manager that the project aligns with company product profile
  • Understand each allocated project, enabling the identification of the project return dates, LAD's, main contractor / B&F programme
  • Interpreting technical submission to produce competitive tenders utilising the estimating department tools and price lists
  • Record on the note's pages, important information that could have an impact on the final project value
  • Thoroughly check quotations received against the information sent out, ensure that the submittal is compliant
  • Evaluate the tender analysis data complete with the implications of the project programme
  • Discuss the project margin with the bid manager and amend as appropriate
  • Prepare files for handing over to project manager

The Successful Applicant:

Essential

  • Applicants should be proactive, hold good organization and communication skills
  • IT competent (particularly MS word and excel)
  • Ability to present information in a coherent and appropriate manner to senior manager
  • Ability to manage own work commitments and prioritise each task to be completed.

Desirable

  • Some experience in the electrical industry and Electrical Estimating
  • An understanding of the sales quotation process and possessing commercial acumen and contractual experience.
  • Demonstrable ability to analyse specifications, proposals and other documentation to prepare time, product, cost and labour estimates
  • Attend Meetings (if required) and represent the submittal
  • Good understanding of tender process and systems
  • Some knowledge of salesforce software. (training will be given)
