Hours: 3-5 days per week

We are a private training company based along the coast in Southwick near Shoreham in West Sussex. We are looking to grow our team and recruit a Gas Tutor and Lead for the Centre.

You will join a small team, and work closely with management to help grow, and deliver high quality training and assessments.

Working with a committed team, you will be able to contribute to planning to take the provision forward. You will provide in-class training to learners and apprentices in order to underpin knowledge related to the qualification.

You will plan and deliver both practical and theory sessions to support learners to achieve their qualifications. You will need to adapt and differentiate your teaching to ensure that everyone succeeds and positively progresses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching L3 apprentices Phase 4 Gas
  • Develop and improve the apprenticeship delivery
  • Teaching and assessing the BPEC managed learning programme
  • Teaching ACS (CCN1)
  • Teaching and/or assessing Unvented course
  • Teaching and assessing water regs course
  • Attend team meetings with solutions and ideas for improvement
  • Work with the team to create standardisation and development of the schemes
  • Complete relevant documentation to track and monitor progress as required by the Centre
  • Support and maintain effective working relationships with learners/apprentices and liaise with tutors and other relevant staff to ensure that support is appropriate
  • Monitor and review learners' progress regularly and amend targets as necessary.

Requirements:


We are looking for a passionate individual that is looking for a new opportunity, ideally you will have 2-3 years' experience in a teaching.


  • Experience delivering the L3 Plumbing and Heating
  • Either experience or progression to manage and run a gas provision
  • Industry experience and a passion for sharing your skills
  • Carry out training in class related to 'underpinning' knowledge related to the qualification. Ability to encourage and motivate learners to succeed
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player
  • Organised
  • Experience of working to pressure and tight deadlines
  • Flexible approach

Qualifications

  • PTTLS or equivalent
  • TAQA assessor A1 or working to achieve within 3 months
  • Plumbing and Heating L3 or equivalent
  • Gas Registered
  • Unvented
  • Water Regs

Nonessential but preferred Qualifications for this role:

  • IQA
  • First Aid
  • Safeguarding
