Engagement & Events Manager - Technology - 12month Ftc

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, creative, and strategic thinker to join our Communications and Engagement team in Technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth delivery of our Comms and Engagement strategy, executing global events for 5,000+ Tech colleagues and further enhancing the way we engage and communicate to our colleagues in the most effective way possible.

You will be responsible for

• Delivering and evolving a newly launched communication and engagement strategy so that Group Technology colleagues feel engaged, informed, educated, recognised and inspired

• Having a creative mindset, always looking at contributing new innovative ideas to achieve strategic outcomesthat ladder up to the success of the strategy

• Organising and executing a wide variety of internal events for colleagues across a number of locations globally to drive engagement. To include; annual conferences, monthly meet ups, social and networking events and internal showcases face to face , hybrid and virtual to a range of audiences

• Overall management of relevant facilities teams, suppliers and agencies on Events

• The calendar of engagement events throughout the year, aligning with various teams and planning ahead to ensure we are working in the most efficient and collaborative way for our colleagues

• Working in collaboration with the Technology Employer Brand team to support engagement and execution of the plans

• Overall accountability of the various communications channels for Group Technology and supporting the team in curating and managing the outputs, aiming for simplicity and effectiveness

• Being a brand advocate, inspiring and educating others on our brand standards

• Supporting and mobilising leaders, ensuring they have the knowledge, skills and capability to deliver effective, strategic communications

• Ensuring Technology Leadership are fully engaged with what our team is there to achieve and regularly updating them with future plans, colleague sentiment and working in partnership in story-telling key messages to our colleagues

• Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, communicating in an effective and relevant way to different colleague populations at all levels.

• Forecasting and managing budgets effectively, always being cost conscious.

• Line management, coaching and development of Communications Executive

You will need
Expert communicator Strategic thinking Previous experience in a communications and/or events role Stakeholder management and facilitation Strong project management skills Ability to juggle changing priorities, managing workload effectively Ability to work on a number of projects simultaneously Working in fast paced / project environment Creative thinking Excellent verbal and written skills Budget Management #LI-AF2
