With an impressive track record of over 250 race victories and various championship titles, the team is now venturing into elite motorsport with the Andretti Cadillac Team.
Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Lead Engineer to join our Aerodynamics Development Team at the state-of-the-art Silverstone Facility. In this key role, you will spearhead a team of talented Aerodynamics engineers to enhance the race car's aerodynamic performance through advanced data analysis and innovative design approaches. Main Responsibilities
- Direct management of the Aero Development Team
- Drive aerodynamic performance improvements using CFD and wind tunnel data
- Possess in-depth knowledge of aerodynamic principles around race cars
- Collaborate with management to devise and execute aerodynamic development strategies
- Champion the implementation of new methods to enhance aerodynamic efficiency
- Lead discussions to optimize overall car performance
- Communicate key insights to Aerodynamics department stakeholders
- May involve occasional travel
Requirements
- At least 8 years' relevant experience in a related role, preferably in motorsport
- Thorough understanding of Formula One Technical Regulations
- Proven track record in leading and managing aerodynamic projects
- Proficiency in CFD techniques and data analysis
- Familiarity with 3D CAD software, particularly 3DExperience/CATIA
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately
- Demonstrated team leadership abilities
- Effective communication with stakeholders and directors
- Proficient in MS Office suite and other IT tools
