Environmental Consultant

Join Envo Talent as an Environmental Consultant, representing our respected client. This role is instrumental in managing contaminated land projects within a vibrant team setting.

You will be responsible for spill response, investigation, remediation, and validation of brownfield sites and pollution incidents. Additionally, you will provide consultancy services to oil spill response contractors and water and utility companies. Structured training and mentorship will be available to support your professional development.

Embrace flexibility as you divide your time between office and on-site work in the UK, with travel and occasional overnight stays required. Progression opportunities within the company include advancing to a senior consultant role, overseeing assistant consultants and technicians.

• Prepare proposals and tenders.
• Manage contaminated land projects, including brownfield development, pollution response, and remediation.
• Conduct health and safety planning, risk assessments, and method statements.
• Supervise fieldwork for investigation, remediation, and validation.
• Sample soils, waters, and air for laboratory analysis.
• Oversee financial management tasks and invoicing.
• Produce reports and risk assessments.
• Manage client relationships and issue resolution.
• Oversee contractor management and procurement.
• Follow company's policies and procedures.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
• Professional demeanor.

• Degree in Environmental Science or Geology.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of contaminated land legislation.
• Ability to conduct fieldwork independently.
• Good communication skills.
• UK driving license and Basic DBS check.

• Higher degree in relevant field.
• Knowledge of risk assessment software.
• Experience in pollution incident management.
• Familiarity with specialist IT software.
• Technical knowledge of various remedial techniques.
