Envo Talent are currently seeking an **Environmental Consultant **on behalf of our esteemed client. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in a dynamic team, engaging in the comprehensive management of contaminated land projects. Your responsibilities will encompass spill response, investigation, remediation, and validation of brownfield sites and pollution incidents, along with offering consultancy services to oil spill response contractors and water and utility companies.

To support your professional growth, structured training and mentoring will be provided. We encourage joining relevant professional organisations and commencing work towards achieving chartered status.

Flexibility is key, as your time will be split between office and site work across the UK. Travel and occasional work away from home are essential aspects of this role. As the company expands, there are opportunities to advance to a senior consultant position, overseeing assistant consultants and technicians.

**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Prepare proposals and tenders.
- Manage contaminated land projects, including brownfield development, pollution response, and remediation.
- Conduct health and safety planning, including risk assessments, method statements, construction phase plans, and COSHH assessments.
- Supervise and direct fieldwork for investigation, remediation, and validation efforts.
- Sample soils, waters, and air, scheduling laboratory analysis and interpreting results.
- Oversee financial management tasks, including cost estimates, cost control, and invoicing.
- Produce factual and interpretative reports, including quantitative risk assessments, remedial options appraisals, and strategies.
- Manage client and customer relationships, ensuring prompt and effective issue resolution.
- Oversee contractor management, including specification preparation, procurement, and appraisal.
- Adhere to the company's Integrated Management System (IMS) policies and procedures.

**Person Specification**:

- Essential: _
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of contaminated land legislation, British Standards, and guidance documents.
- Ability to undertake fieldwork across the UK independently and flexibly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Clean full UK driving license.
- Completion of a Basic DBS check.

- Detailed working knowledge of risk assessment software such as CLEA, RBCA, RTM, etc.
- Experience in pollution incident management.
- Familiarity with specialist IT software like Holebase, Surfer, ProgeCAD, etc.
