Job description
Marleon Training Group are proud to be recruiting for a full time Medical Administrator to join our growing business. We provide expert Occupational Medical's, Drug & Alcohol screenings, Training and Labour Supply for the Railway Network.


As a Medical Administrator you will be required to the daily admin tasks as well as have the ability to travel nationwide when required to complete both Medical Examinations and Drug & Alcohol screenings.

Based at our Head Office, as part of our Administration team your daily duties will include:

  • Accurately process and manage our medical data
  • Provide a complete and accurate record of the clinical examinations and assessment results.
  • Carry out the 'Competence Specific Medical Assessment' according to training and the instructions.
  • Provide a complete and accurate record of the clinical examinations and assessment results.
  • Ensure the equipment used to conduct the medical assessment is in good working order, within its recommended calibration and used and stored in accordance with the training and manufacturer's instructions.
  • Carry out the chain of custody urine sample collection and breath alcohol testing according to training and instructions.
  • Maintain chain of custody throughout the collection process, ensuring the security of the sample and providing a complete and accurate chain of custody record.
  • Comply with Health and Safety requirements and adhere to the control measures identified in the relevant COSHH and risk assessments

Training Provided:

  • Medical Assessment and Drug & Alcohol Administration processes and Sentinel reporting.
  • Knowledge of relevant railway standards, policies and rules relating to Medical Assessment and Drugs and Alcohol.
  • Knowledge of the role of Sentinel.
  • Training in chain of custody, urine collection and breath alcohol testing processes.
  • Training in the clinical examinations required to conduct a competence specific medical assessment, interpretation of results and management of cases.

Skills Required:

  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
  • Previous experience in an administration role
  • Flexible and selfmotivated in their approach to work.
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Proactive and able to prioritise a busy workload
  • Tact, discretion, and respect for confidentiality
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Able to follow protocols and complete accurate paperwork.
  • Educated to GCSE C English or equivalent (desirable).
  • Microsoft Office skills in word and excel is essential
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace (desirable but not essential as full training will be provided)
  • Methodical in their approach to work with attention to detail.
  • Able to work alone, without close supervision.
  • Good communication and customer facing skills.
  • Able to follow protocols and complete accurate paperwork.
  • Flexible approach to work

Salary:
Up to £20,000.00 per year
