Are you interested in bringing your communications and stakeholder engagement skills to an organisation that plays a vital role in the democratic process? We are looking for a proactive and engaged public affairs and communications professional to help raise the profile of the Electoral Commission and deliver a high-quality public affairs and communications service.
You will support the public affairs team and the wider external communications team, to provide colleagues with advice and insight.
You will be responsible for responding to stakeholder enquiries and correspondence, monitoring parliamentary activity, briefing colleagues and supporting the delivery of parliamentary engagement.
We want to see improvements made to voter registration, the rules governing digital campaigning, electoral fraud prevention, and the accessibility of elections.
You will have the ability research, analyse and summarise complex material for senior colleagues and external stakeholders.With the ability to use a wide range of communications techniques you will bring creativity and well-honed communications skills to our influencing and engagement work.
An excellent communicator, you will provide support across the external communications team with the ability to write to a high-standard and have strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
