About the role:
Smallwood Trust is seeking a consultant (or a small team) to lead a collaborative consultation and 'co-design' process for a new programme in Newham and Hackney, the Local Resilience Fund.
In the past year we have secured £6 million in external funds to complement the income from our available investments.
We have recently been awarded £864,000 from the City Bridge Trust which together with Smallwood's own funding will support the delivery of a 3 year, £1m co-designed grants programme for women and the organisations and services supporting them in the two boroughs.
This role will support and advise the Programme Manager in the initial 6 month period of phase 1 to tackle gendered poverty in these boroughs.
The consultant will work closely to support the Programme Manager to achieve the outputs by the end of February 2024.
About you:
We are looking to appoint a consultant (either a single consultant or a small team) who can work cooperatively and flexibly with Smallwood co-production partners including, women's organisations and services and individual women throughout the set up phase of this programme.
The consultant should have experience of co-design, experience of grants and funding, be experienced in issues around equity, diversity and inclusion, have knowledge of the issues that affect the women in Hackney and Newham and a passion for helping to end gendered poverty.
We also require a consultant that can supportively and cooperatively inform and build the capacity of women's organisations and services and of Smallwood itself and can enhance our co-design practice and learning to inform future programmes.
