What does the role look like?
The role will span the product life cycle including agreements, bid support, product development, manufacture and support contracting.
What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?
- Reviews incoming customer requests for proposals
- Identifies proposal requirements
- Reviews terms and conditions for acceptability and compliance with Company policies and procedures
- Assists in proposal development as required and participates in securing and recording required management approval for submittal of proposals to customers.
- Participates in proposal reviews and approvals.
- Briefs management on Terms and Conditions.
- Reviews contractual terms and conditions for their acceptability, as well as, assessing risk and impact to Company performance utilizing resources including legal, operations, and pricing, as necessary.
- Reviewing customer contract terms and conditions to balance risk with our clients' commercial objectives.
- Provide a summary of the terms to Contract Management highlighting any nonstandard contract terms or variations to previously negotiated terms, with a recommended approach to minimize risk to the Company while balancing Customer objectives.
- Operates in accordance with company policies and practices, and in compliance with established business ethics.
- Drafts agreements and contract clauses, and negotiates with customers under the supervision of a Contract Manager Responsible for negotiating, structuring, and/or administrating contractual documents that establish business relationships with customers and/or partners.
- Provides contract status and assistance to the Program Manager, functional areas, and management.
- Takes proper action to close out contracts in accordance with applicable procedures at the conclusion of all activity.
- Assures the timely communication of contract information to appropriate Company representatives and maintains complete and accurate contract files.
- Acts as principal interface with internal/external customers on contractual matters.
- Takes necessary action or coordinates action to resolve any contractual problems with the contract execution team in a timely manner.
- Monitor progress of Contract/Legal documents timely review and processing by the organization in support of established schedules and goals.
- Drafts and reviews terms for agreements such as NDAs, MOUs, collaboration agreements, etc. Manages or helps to manage constructive customer relationships.
- Understands and complies with all Company business processes and procedures.
- Creates and maintain robust contract document repositories in compliance with Company standards.
- Carries out audits of the Contracts & Commercial work instructions and processes to ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, including overseeing any remedial actions. Performs contract reviews and flowdown to functional organizations.
- Provides Contract management, including support to programme teams and proposal responses under the supervision of a Contract Manager.
- Compiles measurements of departmental performance and KPI's as assigned. Supports continuous improvement activities across the site as assigned.
- Coordinates ITAR agreements and licences, including maintaining sublicensee lists and annual submissions as required.
- Serves as Focal for Contracts & Commercial ad hoc activities including, but not limited to: portal administration, SharePoint repository sites, SAP entries, gate approvals, and customer point of contact.
- Provides commercial support and advice to multifunctional teams. Ensures compliance to International Trade requirements in all activities.
