The A.E.D.A. Alliance (Advocates of Empowerment, Development and Achievement) is seeking a dedicated Family Support Worker to join their team. This innovative company specializes in providing services for the care sector, focusing on enhancing the quality of life for children and young people in social care.

The team consists of experienced professionals in the social care industry, including independent social work practitioners, care owners, managers, therapists, teachers, and senior residential staff.

They are currently looking for a Family Support Worker in various locations such as Kingston, Brentford, Croydon, Hounslow, Wandsworth, and Peterborough. The ideal candidate should have:

  • 2+ years of experience in the Care Sector, particularly with children, young people, and families.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the needs of young people and parents/guardians from diverse backgrounds.
  • Awareness of issues related to sexuality, sexual abuse, CCE, CSE, and child protection.
  • Prevention & Management of Violence & Aggression Training (desirable).
  • Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Training (desirable).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 - Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, etc.
  • Current Enhanced DBS Certificate or on the DBS Update Service.
