Purpose

This role is based in custody, based in HMP Highdown. You will be working with offenders, supporting them through their journey in custody.

This would involve supporting the offenders from when they enter custody, by helping the offenders to set employment goals, providing advice and guidance to access education and work in custody and preparing them for release to access employment, education or training through the gate.

Someone who holds prison clearance would be desirable, those without will need to go through the prison vetting process.

Starting salary for a Trainee IAG Adviser - £26,145

Starting salary for Qualified IAG Adviser - £30,344

Essential:

You will have:

Level 3 or above IAG or CIAG accreditation (Adviser)

Willing to work towards Level 4 CIAG (Trainee)

Demonstrable experience of successfully working to targets

Excellent IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office software and previous experience of working with databases
