About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Trainee Careers Adviser to join our team at Shaw Trust. As a Trainee Careers Adviser, you will work intensively with a caseload of young people seeking employment, training, or education opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop productive professional relationships with young people with multiple barriers and support their progression.
  • Offer bespoke approaches to meet the needs of each young person, including developing employability activities and accreditations.
  • Secure on-site EET outcomes, such as traineeships, qualified careers guidance, and provide an agile service that adapts to the changing needs of NEET young people.
  • Support young people to sustain their education or training outcome.
  • Use data analysis to effectively target resources.

Requirements

  • Ability to work with young people with multiple barriers and support their progression.
  • Level 6 IAG or working towards.
  • Experience of working with young people giving IAG.
  • Experience liaising with and working in educational institutions and other stakeholders to identify young people who are at risk of or NEET.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet contract KPIs.
