Due to another internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity for somebody interested in agriculture, preferably with a compliance or science background. You will support our compliance team at our plants when they need it, along with our small team in Hastings.
If you are looking to develop a career in an industry central to New Zealand's propserity then this position provides a gateway to a wide range of professional opportunities in technical, operational and management leadership.
You wil report directly to the Group Technical Manager, and be part of a compliance team that supports key roles in the Technical Compliance department both at Head Office and at our processing plants.
Some things you would be involved in:
- understanding the site processes and sytem for optimisation and continuous improvement.
- Data analysis and trending.
- Writing Standard Operating Procedure materials and staff training.
- Post refrigeration process validation and verification.
- Customer's questionnaires and complaint's investigation.
- New product setup includes Standpack data, specifications & labels update.
- Internal audits.
- Overseas Market Access requirements.
- Research for development-based projects.
- Involve with complaince tasks on sites when reqired.

This position is permanent full time in sunny Hastings, however there will be regular travel to our plants.
We are looking for someone who

- Is experienced with Microsoft World and Excel – training will be given on programs unique to the technical department.
- Has excellent time management and the ability to work efficiently while unsupervised.
- Is interested in training development.
- A degree in Food science or Food technology and some experience within technical/compliance in the Meat or Food industry is preferred but not essential.
- A full driver's license is required as regular travel will be required
