Maintenance Fitter required to join a leading engineering company based in Huddersfield.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing of various plant and machinery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out maintenance and repairs on a variety of plant machinery, including CNC and manual machine tools, fabrication equipment and overhead cranes.
  • Overhaul, upkeep and repair all plant machinery, including PLC controlled equipment.
  • Diagnose faults and implement cost-effective solutions.
  • Maintain and manage machine documentation and records.
  • Install new machines and equipment as required.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship.
  • Proven experience in maintaining and repairing a range of plant machinery.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • This role offers excellent career development opportunities overtime will be required as per business needs.

Working hours:
7am – 4pm Mon – Thurs / 7am – 12.30pm Fri£38k per year basic, negotiable depending on experience.
Overtime as and when required, will include some weekends for preventative maintenance tasks.
