ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

The purpose of this role is to provide HR Business Partnering expertise for a function within Operations. The role will be accountable to deliver appropriate People Strategies, processes and services, ensuring alignment to global HR agenda, in line with business priorities, and enabling a great employee experience in BAT. Role holder will be someone who has the ability to think and act both strategically and deliver results operationally.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Working with the Senior HRBP Operations in the development and delivery of the People agenda for Global Operations functions;
  • Providing efficient and effective HR Business Partnering advice and support to key stakeholders on People and HR matters, suggesting appropriate solutions as required and performing OTIF our HR cycle;
  • Leading talent management and development planning activities for the respective departments;
  • Using data analytics to act upon and contribute to our People Agenda;
  • Acting as a liaison between employees and management, addressing employee concerns, manage conflicts, and promote a positive work environment;
  • Driving employee engagement initiatives, such as surveys, feedback sessions, and recognition programs;
  • Managing organizational change, from Org Design changes to communications and engagement, staying in sync with legislation and looking after minimal disruption to the business and teams;
  • Building a solid relationship with key stakeholders, from Global Business Leadership teams to HR colleagues;
  • Ensuring quality recruitment into the function, overlooking the joiners/movers/exits processes;
  • Being accountable for workforce planning and management including quarterly budget reviews and annual budgeting exercise.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Proven knowledge of UK employment law and ability to coach others (particularly in enabling line managers to resolve employee relations issues)
  • Experienced HRBP with an understanding of HR best practices across a variety of fields (Reward, Talent, Org Effectiveness, L&D, Employee Relations) and is familiar with the use of Global HR systems;
  • Experience of working within the context of complex, matrix organizations
  • Demonstrable track record of building credible relationships with senior leadership teams and an ability to persuade and influence a variety of senior stakeholders;
  • Collaborative approach with all partners, colleagues and own team;
  • Proactive and solution-oriented with a strong coaching style;
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make judgements based on facts and qualitative information drawn from a wide variety of sources;
  • Continuous improvement mentality to processes and services;
  • Strong organizational skills and high levels of attention to detail;
  • Tenacity and resilience to continue to deliver in times of organizational change and ambiguity;
  • Proven track record to learn quickly and commitment to self-development.
