CACE is a trusted community resource which has been operating in the Cumbernauld and Northern Corridor areas for over30 years. We work to prevent loneliness and isolation, supporting older people and their carers to live well inthe community on their own terms. We do this through a programme of activities, groups, and outings,door-to-door community transport, and a well-established befriending programme.

We rely on volunteers to provide a consistently high quality, person-centred service, and it's essential that theyhave the very best support and training. As Engagement and Development Lead, you'll play a key part ininfluencing the organisation's culture through leading our volunteering and training programmes. You'llmanage our volunteer-staffed Befriending Service, which pairs volunteers and older people seeking companionshipthrough shared interests.

Our work is rooted in the local community, and we can only recruit excellent volunteers if we nurture our localconnections. You'll helm our community engagement work, spreading the word about what we do, reaching new poolsof volunteers, inspiring fundraisers, and developing new partnerships to benefit the people we support.

We are seeking an Operations Manager to complete our small leadership team. Working closely with the people wesupport, our CEO, other team members and our Board of Trustees, you will have the opportunity to help shape anddeliver the charity's strategy.

Working to support our CEO in all aspects of the business, you will act as depute on operational matters, and willhave delegated responsibility for a range of key business areas, including finance, HR, governance, fundraising,and evaluation.

To provide the best services in an ever-changing environment, we must constantly learn and develop as anorganisation, whilst keeping those we support at the heart of our decision-making. You will be responsible forensuring that our internal culture, and the operational processes which support it, align with this aim and ourvalues.

We are seeking a warm, creative and engaging individual to help us provide fulfilling and accessible sessions forgroups of older people.

As the Service Support Team Lead you will be responsible for our changing programme of activities and ensuring thatthe people who come to our groups are well supported.

Providing supervisory support to a small but dedicated team of support workers and volunteers, you will ensure aconsistently high quality, person-centred service. You'll work closely with people and their loved ones toexplore interests, identify opportunities and develop engrossing activities.

You must be a keen advocate for older people, passionate about ensuring they are empowered to remain active withinour community. You'll communicate this enthusiasm when engaging with established and potential partners todevelop relationships and explore new opportunities.

Muirshiel Centre (Adult Day Care) was established in 1991 as a local charity (Registered Charity No sco18185) and ismanaged by a voluntary Board of Directors who represent our local community. The Centre's day to day operationsoverseen by a service manager supported by a staff team of professionally trained individuals dedicated to thecare and support of our service users. We are committed to providing a quality, responsive day services thatmeet the needs of older people with support needs residing in East Inverclyde (Port Glasgow).

The Centre caters for a wide range of individuals including those who are frail / elderly, those who are sociallyisolated, are living with dementia, anxiety or depression, learning disabilities or those with mentalill-health.

The role

The Assistant Manager has line management responsibility for a range of roles in day care including leading ourexperienced team of support workers, so some leadership and/or management experience will be beneficial.

You will have experience of working with older people. A minimum of an SVQ level 3 or equivalent or progressing toSVQ level 4 is essential as well as a willingness to undertake continuous professional development leading tosatisfying SSSC Managers of Adult Day Care Service registration requirements.

In addition, you should have strong IT skills and excellent communication skills and a full driving licence with a D1entitlement.
