We are looking for an Application Support Engineer, for our well-known client from the IT industrynLocation:

We are for looking someone:
nResponsible for the efficient operation and support of applications within the Mechanical Design DepartmentnSpecializing in, identifying, and solving problems and advising users

Responsibilities:


Provide extensive end user support for Mechanical Design application for over 3000+ users.nBe responsible for delivering support across 3 UK sites – Stevenage, Bolton, and Filton.nAssist in the definition of best practice and processes associated with Mechanical Design applicationsnMust be willing to apply for DV Sec clearance if not already heldnDevelop effective resolutions for user problems and system errorsnConfidently be able to present complex subjects to different target audiences.


Requirements:

nGood knowledge of application/s supportnAdaptability to different personalities and levels of user knowledge.nGood verbal and interpersonal communication skills.nAbility to work autonomously.

n1st/2nd level operations experience with Application support team or service desknExperience of working to SLA'snWindows experiencenOnsite availabilitynWorking within a Support team environmentnSec ClearancenSQL AwarenessnAnalytical skillsnLog analysis competencynWindow 2016 server knowledge and abovenWindow OS skills - StrongnApp PackagesnVM'snEnterprise services Experience – Active Directory/DFS/Certificate Services/Keystores/IIS Web Services/Apache TomcatnSecurity PatchingnRelease management and Change managementnProblem ManagementnRoot Cause Analysis skills

Nice to have:


Windchill administration / implementationnIdeally have spent significant time administrating / configuring Windchill and completed Windchill 10.2 or 11.nImplementation of Windchill 10.2 or above.nAdministration of 10.2 and above.nKnowledge of deploying Creo Parametric/Office PDF workers.nAwareness of Creo Parametric / Creoview.

nCREO Illustrate

Windows 10 OS / Windows Server OS – 2012 onwards.nMust have strong Windows OS administration knowledge.

Should have some basic knowledge of the following:nESX VMWare.nESX infrastructure.nESX snapshots / restores.nEnterprise services.


Active Directory.nDFS.nCertificate Services / certificate keystores.nIIS Web services.nApache TomcatnSQLnSome knowledge of MS SQL Server databases.nKnowledge of the use of SQL management studio.

nKnowledge of SQL command language in order to perform queries and updates within SQL database
