The Opportunity

To support our vision, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Resourcing Advisor to join our Resourcing team to continue to develop the reshape of our Recruitment team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving and dedicated team at a pivotal time in its change journey.


You will support the Resourcing team to understand the shape of the future workforce and to design and forward plan effective approaches to meet WSCC short, medium and long-term resourcing priorities.

You will be responsible for the creation of strategic recruitment and selection strategies, incorporating internal and external campaigns to support the achievement of corporate objectives.

This will include management of the full recruitment cycle, including liaising with hiring managers, developing briefs, producing adverts, sourcing for vacancies, some direct sourcing, management of offers, and overseeing the on-boarding of new joiners.


What You Will Be Doing

  • Providing proactive and specialist advice on recruitment & selection issues, demonstrating a solution focused approach to business recruitment requirements and challenges
  • Managing and delivering complex recruitment and selection projects/campaigns within agreed timescales, budget and to customer satisfaction
  • Working alongside the Resourcing Officers you will help ensure we deliver first class onboarding for new hires and that all necessary paperwork is completed promptly and accurately
  • Collaborating with Human Resources colleagues and the Service to have a fullscale understanding of hiring needs and workforce planning, including projects across the services you support.
About You

You will:

  • Have a proven track record of delivering end to end recruitment activity within an inhouse or RPO environment
  • Demonstrable skills of managing and improving the customer journey throughout the recruitment process.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal credibly with our customers, senior managers and executives whilst being challenging, professional and commercially focused.
  • Have demonstrable experience of delivering continuous improvement around recruitment activities.
