Head of Fire, Health and Safety Management based at Littlemore in Oxford and covering all of the Oxford Health Foundation Trust sites in Oxford, Buckinghamshire and BANES.


Reporting to Head of Health, Safety, Security and Estates Support Services and managing a team of Health, Safety, Security and Fire staff.


The post holder will be a member of the estates and facilities department; and a key member of the Estates Fire, Health & Safety Team; with responsibility for ensuring that the Trust has appropriate health and safety, security and fire safety management policies, processes and systems in place, and that these are embedded across the organization.

Health and Safety Management
Be the competent person for the management of Health and Safety fulfilling the Trust's legal obligations.

Ensure that the Trust has in place all necessary policies, procedures, and processes.


Develop and maintain training programs and supporting documentation for Trust staff, managers and directors ensuring that responsibilities are recognised and undertaken.


Further develop the culture of health and safety across the organisation, developing the health and safety team to support this.

Fire Safety Management

Develop and maintain training programmes and supporting documentation for Trust staff, managers and directors ensuring that responsibilities are recognised and undertaken.

Risk Management

Ensure that the department has a robust risk management approach in place and that risks are recorded and managed appropriately.

Develop strong relationships with the Trust's Corporate Governance function and ensure processes are in place to enable risks relating to the built environment recorded by others are identified to the department
