Watford, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust Full time

The Emergency Medicine Division is a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same We are looking for highly motivated and adaptable team members who are enthusiastic about providing the best care for our patients whilst they are at their most vulnerable.

Understandably the Emergency Medicine Division is incredibly busy with high patient turnover therefore you need to be confident in your delivery of care whilst ensuring that you help to maintain the privacy and dignity of our patients.

You will be working alongside our friendly and professional team either in the Emergency Department, Emergency Assessment Unit or Acute Admissions Unit to ensure patient safety and care of patients.

As a Healthcare Support Worker you will be an essential part of the nursing team. You will do a fantastic job providing care and support to our patients and their families.

You will need to be the kind of person who puts their patients first, providing the best care for every patient, every day.

You will provide hands on personal care for your patients whilst encouraging them to be as independent as possible.

There has never been a more exciting time to join West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust Major redevelopment works are due for completion by 2025 or soon after.

These will be most dramatic at Watford General Hospital where up to 90% of buildings will be new.

The trust has recently gained 'teaching hospital' status which reflects the dedicated work of many teams and individuals who have set the standard for delivering high quality training, learning and education at all levels of the workforce.

We encourage and welcome people with disabilities. If you need help, please ask.

Please see the attached job description for further information about the role.

Once you have experience in the role, if you are looking to progress we have fantastic opportunities within the Trust for you to complete a Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship or to go on to complete the Nursing Associate program.

These opportunities are fully supported and financed by the Trust. Please ask us for more information if you are interested.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION - PLEASE READ
