Stores Operative
Monday to Friday
Central Birmingham

Are you a skilled and reliable individual with experience in warehouse operations and forklift handling? Our client is a leading metal services warehouse, currently seeking a Forklift Stores Operative to join their quality driven team.

This role primarily involves warehouse operative duties with the occasional forklift operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carefully loading and unloading raw material
  • Documenting and raising paperwork as per operational process
  • Stock organisation and putting away
  • Using measuring equipment for stock
  • Safely operate a forklift to move materials within the warehouse

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a warehouse operative preferably in a metal services environment
  • Valid counterbalance forklift operator certification (6 months experience)
  • Ability to assist with lifting items
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
  • Good attention to detail due to the valuable items being handled
