**About the Role:**
The Supply Register is excited to collaborate with the L.E.A.D Academy Trust and is currently seeking an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant. This role involves providing support to a foundation student on a one-on-one basis and also working with small groups of children requiring emotional and social assistance, starting from the upcoming academic year.

**Responsibilities:**
- Caring for children's physical, social & emotional well-being
- Maintaining records and participating in review meetings as needed
- Adapting class work to cater to student needs with initiative
- Collaborating with other staff members to deliver exceptional student support
- Identifying signs of distress in children and offering comfort
- Building positive relationships with children and aiding in boosting their confidence
- Assisting children with various SEN requirements individually or in small groups

**Requirements:**
- Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification (HLTA) or similar Teaching Assistant certification
- Previous experience working with young people with SEN
- Proficient in handling SEMH students
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- High expectations for all students and oneself, and willingness to work effectively with colleagues
- Thorough understanding and dedication to Safeguarding
- Must possess a DBS registered with the update service or be prepared to obtain a new one
- Full-time availability starting from September
