ROLE DESCRIPTION: As a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator, you'll have a vital role in handling the commercial aspects of our projects and programs. Your main tasks will involve:

  • Cost Estimation and Budgeting:
    • Prepare precise cost estimates for fire protection projects.
    • Collaborate with project managers and engineers on project budgets.
  • Procurement and Contract Management:
    • Source materials and subcontractors.
    • Negotiate contracts and oversee subcontractor agreements.
  • Project Cost Control:
    • Monitor project costs throughout their lifecycle.
    • Spot cost-saving opportunities and suggest necessary adjustments.
  • Variations and Claims:
    • Assess variations and claims linked to project modifications.
    • Work closely with stakeholders to resolve any conflicts.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Keep accurate records of project costs, invoices, and payments.
    • Generate regular reports for management.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in surveying, preferably with passive fire protection expertise.
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in quantity surveying or a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
    • Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., Excel, project management software).
