Job Title: Catering Assistant

Available Shift Pattern:
  • 20 hours a week, Monday-Friday
  • 10.30am - 2.30pm
  • Term Time only

Pay:
£11.44 per Hour, Overtime available

Your mission:
  • Preparation of meals according to agreed recipes/methods
  • Follow HACCP and food safety regulations & procedures
  • Maintain clean and dirty processes separate
  • Handle food for transportation
  • Serve food as needed
  • Keep food safety records
  • Refill consumables and manage supplies
  • Work safely and report maintenance issues
  • Manage stock levels
  • Assist in meeting financial targets
  • Minimize waste through correct measurement
  • Update knowledge through training
  • Adhere to company policies
  • Contribute to team meetings
  • Follow instructions by management

Who are we looking for?
  • Experience in cooking/food preparation for large numbers
  • Desire to gain recognized catering qualification
  • Good knowledge of health and safety in the kitchen
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to use relevant equipment
  • Awareness of COSHH regulations
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to participate in training
