Financial Controller

£100,000 + bonus + benefits

Partner Financial are currently working with a listed FMCG business who have a growing reputation for service delivery across its core business lines, partnering with its clients to enhance core functional areas of expertise and capability, drive value in the supply chain and provide insight and best practice guidelines for consumers. Building influential and effective relationships across the organisation is crucial to the performance of the position.

Following recent organisational changes, the business is now seeking an experienced Financial Leader to oversee one of the largest functions in the group developing a best-in-class operation, that leverages investment and promotes business wide change and efficiency. This role will take ownership of the finance function and will interface with senior stakeholders in the Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • and preparing the company's monthly, quarterly and annual accounts
  • all accounting operations both insourced and outsourced functions, including billing, revenue accounting, debt management, payroll and a robust general ledger
  • opportunities for improvement in accounting operations, financial systems and processes via automation
  • process optimisation to drive efficiency of the Group, ensuring re-design where required
  • a large international team, ensuring continuous improvement and realisation of the teams full potential

Ideal candidate

  • accountant, having trained with a top practice
  • previously managed a large team, and a clear understanding of how to develop and build a high-performing team
  • communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders;
  • analytical and presentation skills, with the ability to interpret and present data to the stakeholders;
  • to offer advice to the business to aid the key decision-making process.
