An exciting opportunity has arisen for a **Systems Engineer** to join the **Fire & Security Systems** team in **Middlesbrough**. This role involves covering the surrounding territory with a variety of tasks and responsibilities:

  • Attend to maintenance calls both on-site and by telephone as directed
  • Rectify faults during the first visit whenever possible
  • Carry out preventive maintenance visits regularly
  • Collect and record site configuration information
  • Maintain stock levels of spare parts in the company vehicle
  • Keep accurate and timely records of tasks
  • Provide on-call support on a rotational basis
  • Commission small projects when needed
  • Conduct audits on quality procedures
  • Deliver training to customers and colleagues

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Prior experience in electro-mechanical systems
  • At least 5 years of experience in installing and servicing various access control, CCTV, and intruder alarm systems
  • Experience with fire alarm systems, preferably GENT based
  • IT or Electrical/Electronic qualifications
  • Strong technical IT knowledge including installing Windows Operating Systems and networking
  • Understanding of basic electrical principles like voltage and current measurement
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate paperwork completion and adherence to procedures
  • Ability to work well under pressure as part of a team
