- Are you a skilled individual who can champion young individuals by mentoring them into positive outcomes including education and training?
- Are you interested in supporting young people who are out of mainstream school and are known to youth offending services?
- Do you have experience supporting young people to develop their confidence and skills?
Requirements:
- 3 5 years working experience with high risk young people.
- QCF in Youth leadership desirable (not a must)
- 1:1 Mentoring young people more specifically young people who are known to the criminal justice system
- Night Shifts & Day Shifts
- Enhanced DBS required
- Experience working with young people from the age of 1217 years old.
- Are experienced in providing 1:1 support and caseload management including goal setting.
- Mentoring experience with high risk young people who have been through the Criminal Justice system.
- Previous experience with Youth Offending Services.
- Able to engage challenges with optimism and resilience as well as liaise as a professional but at an interpersonal level to develop trust and build rapport.
- Can be adaptive and flexible, ready to embrace change and innovation.
- Come from a background having worked with youth and or young offenders. Ideally 35 years experience.
- Experience providing 1:1 support and caseload management including goal setting for service users able to liaise that with management and relevant local authorities
- Have experience developing highquality learning and development sessions during client visitations through a variety of mediums.
- Is a natural and effective communicator, passionate about delivering excellent customer service and making the right decision for young people
- Have experience of facilitating conversation and skills development in an Informal learning capacity.
- Excellent listening skills and an ability to build strong, trusting relationships.
- Confident using positive and personalised behaviour management strategies.
- Have experience in delivering personal and social development to young people.
