London, Greater London, United Kingdom South Pole Full time
South Pole is an energetic, global company offering comprehensive sustainability solutions and services.

With offices spanning all continents across the globe, we strive to create a sustainable society and economy that positively impacts our climate, ecosystems and developing communities.

With our solutions, we inspire and enable our customers to create value from sustainability-related activities.

Our Corporate Functions team is the "enablement engine" of South Pole. Behind the scenes, we provide the business with world-class solutions and best practices that sustain business growth and success. We cover key areas such as Finance, HR, Office Management, Legal, IT, Operations, etc. If you are a smart, ambitious and dynamic professional with a strong passion to make a real difference in the fight against climate change, the below position may be right for you

Job summary:

The purpose of this role is to lead, develop and implement our data quality framework, master data management and data cataloguing tooling and general data governance to ensure we are continuously improving our data quality and always working from a single source of the truth.

You will embed and manage data governance processes across South Pole. You will work with a large variety of data, originating from both internal and external sources.

As such the role is part of the Data and Insights team within the Technology Team and reports directly to the Data Engineering & Governance Lead.

There will be a legal team working alongside you to understand legal requirements of such frameworks but it will be your responsibility to ensure this is implemented on our data infrastructure.

In addition, you will work closely with Data Engineering to set up the appropriate data quality audits and checks to ensure continuous improvement.

This exciting opportunity will suit an individual with previous experience setting up and implementing data governance capabilities.

You understand the importance of good quality data and are enthused by the opportunity to be part of a rapidly expanding global company (with all the solution changes that accompany such growth) in the sustainability sector.
