As Sustainability becomes a priority for businesses, we are growing our team to ensure that sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, from our internal processes right through to our supply chain.

This apprenticeship sits within our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) team, who develop and execute our approach, considering ESG priorities and targets in line with business strategy and customer facing commitments.


As an ESG apprentice, you'll support our passionate and dedicated ESG team to assess, educate and implement environmentally focussed solutions to meet our ambitious targets.

This apprenticeship offers an opportunity to build on your understanding of ESG and how this translates into each area of our business.


_Please note, as part of our Seasalt Connected approach to ways of working, this role will be based flexibly across our Cornwall head office locations - Falmouth and Redruth for a minimum of two days per week - and working remotely from home._

You'll help us by:


With a passion for Sustainability, you'll research and keep abreast of news, best practice and regulations in the ESG field.

Assisting the ESG team, you'll capture, collect and prepare data, information and content to enable the business to add value in Net Zero/Circularity/Sourcing for the purposes of planning and performance.

Collaborating with the Sustainability Manager, you'll analyse data and prepare non-disclosure reports and regulatory reports.

Additionally, you'll work across the business to capture and understand ESG stories that can be used as part of internal communications and external marketing assets.

As well as the above, you'll assist with general administrative duties, including the coordination of meetings and workshops.

Strong organisation, communication and analytical skills are key, especially when getting stuck into the research.

You'll work effectively within a team as well as independently, and you'll able to effectively prioritise tasks and enjoy working under pressure.

Someone who enjoys science, maths and têxtiles could be interested in this role.

Perhaps you have developed these skills through extra curriculum activities, hobbies or through previous work experience. Wherever you have used these skills previously, we want to hear from you


An apprenticeship is a great way to start your career, opening up opportunities within the Sustainability team or utilising your knowledge to translate into our departments in our business, including Buying or Sourcing.


The apprenticeship:

As one of our Apprentices, you will be on a 2-year fixed term contract starting in September 2024. Your working hours will be 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.


With support from your line manager and the Training & Early Career Advisor, you will be working towards a
Level 3 Business Administration standard.

This will give you an opportunity to develop your skills, knowledge and experience of ESG functions and how this translates into other departments.

We are looking at recruiting on potential and your enthusiasm to succeed.

Because of this, we will be running an Assessment Day to find out more about your skills for this role.
