Cambridge University Libraries wishes to appoint a Conservation Administrator in the Conservation Department. This post is fixed term for 12 months in the first instance.
The Conservation Administrator will provide administrative/secretarial service to the Conservation Department to enable the efficient operation of all work undertaken. They will work closely with the Conservation team to facilitate the preservation of unique cultural heritage collections, through the maintenance of excellent documentation and the procurement of specialist materials.
Their work in support of conservation and collections care will contribute to the overall good stewardship of Cambridge University Libraries collections, in keeping with professional and ethical standards of best practice, research and teaching, as well as exhibitions, loans, and digitisation.
The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills and be competent in standard software packages such as Microsoft Office. Experience in meeting deadlines, while retaining good attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy is desirable.
Hours of Work: Full time, 36.5 hours per week, Mondays to Fridays.
