Job Description

MOSCOT is a 109+ year old New York City based international heritage luxury eyewear brand. We're currently looking for a highly motivated, dynamic UK PR Manager to join our team The UK PR Manager is responsible for editorial coverage (print and digital), product placements, and for supporting all branding initiatives/events to achieve the overall positioning and image goals of the brand. The manager works directly with the MOSCOT Lugano office to drive the MOSCOT brand messaging forward. This position will be the local point for all things PR in the UK region.

Essential Duties And Job Responsibilities

  • Develop the UK pitching strategy for brand stories and press releases focusing on feature stories, seasonal launches, ideating creative pitch angles and creating opportunities to insert MOSCOT into cultural conversation to secure media coverage in top – tier media, including but not limited to product placements, brand features, interviews. Create and manage the UK pitching calendar.
  • Draft media alerts and press releases for local activations as well as interview responses for executives. Identify and develop effective stories into proactive opportunities.
  • Monitor local press clippings and follow the guidelines to collect them in systematic recaps. Highlight top monthly clippings to Corporate offices.
  • Build relationships with counterparts at relevant media outlets to gain coverage and utilize relationships to effectively pitch and secure results. Cultivate relationships with stylists / VIPs for further styling opportunities.
  • Handle all UK press inquiries and coordinate spokespersons interviews.
  • Organize UK press days and UK events and secure attendance of top – tier editors and stylists.
  • Sample Management:

-Oversee PR sample management for all MOSCOT products and maintaining and organized press closet.

-Manage all press requests and sample shipments and returns to editors & stylists.

-Work directly with MOSCOT Shop staff for custom samples.

  • Research, propose and support opportunities like, but not limited to, paid adv, OOH media etc.
  • Monitor editorial ROI vs. advertising spend as well as identifying brand partnership opportunities.
  • Support UK MOSCOT Shop & MOSCOT Music events, create briefs and invites, etc.
  • Develop strategic and creative concepts for all local PR events including press days, collection/product releases, cultural & values events, media partnerships etc.
  • Partner with Global Brand Marketing teams to ensure UK strategy is aligned with global strategy.
  • Conduct competitor press strategy analysis for UK market and present findings to leadership.
  • Coordinate and produce content for social media from the MOSCOT London Shops.
  • Stay on top of relevant cultural moments, current events, and trends in the fashion, lifestyle and cultural landscape (both luxury and mainstream) – both on and offline.
  • Prepare and deliver reports on request from the Marketing Department.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Marketing / Public Relations / Communications / Journalism or related disciplines with full range of brand, marketing, and e-commerce experience.
  • Ideally 5 years' experience in marketing or public relations or advertising agency.
  • Proactive, multi-tasking, fast-paced with strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Outgoing, strong sense of responsibility and urgency, strong prioritizing skills, well-organized and a good team player.
  • Strong writing and verbal skills in English, Spanish and / or French will be considered a plus.
  • Experience in fashion accessories/eyewear/beauty/apparel/luxury goods.
  • Understand media environment and how to craft and pitch stories to press.
