Are you seeking your next role in education? Are you available to work full time from September 2024? Empowering Learning are working in partnership with one of our alternate provision schools based in Shirebrook.
The school are looking to appoint a learning and behaviour mentor onto permanent contracts. School based experience is preferred but not essential.We are willing to consider people from:
Health Care Residential SupportCounsellorsTeaching AssistantsSports CoachesMentors The school are looking for people who:Have a resilient attitudeCan build relationships with children with challenging behaviours Will help to engage pupils within lessons Can act as a positive role model to the children Possess an empathy towards pupils from challenging backgrounds The main duties within the role will be: Supporting students on a 1:1 basis Leading academic sessions around maths and English Liaising with senior staff in school around progress of the children De-escalating situations where challenging behaviour has arisenThis role will be full time and permanent and salary will be between £20,500 and £23,500 dependent upon experience and qualifications.
