Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading company within environmental services to recruit an Assistant Plant Operator for its Gloucestershire EFW site.

The strategically important Assistant Plant Operator role comes with a salary of 36,000 with Pension

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Shift Team Leader you will:
  • Assist with the routine operations and testing of plant systems.
  • Operation of overhead gantry cranes and mobile plant.
  • Undertake plant walk downs and inspections, ensuring efficient plant operations.
  • Record and log all plant findings including defect reporting.
  • Understand and comply with all H&S policies and procedures.
  • Provide shift cover where needed.
Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:
  • Knowledge of environmental permits, H&S Issues & safety rules
  • Practical skills, including basic mechanical fitting or mobile plant operation.
Personal skills

The Assistant Plant Operator role would suit someone who is:
  • Excellent with planning and attention to detail
  • Computer literate.
  • Self-motivated.
