Aviation Recruitment experts Optime are searching for an experienced Ramp Agent to join a well-respected and successful client at Gatwick Airport.

The job offers full time hours and overtime opportunities.

What's on offer:

  • Rate of pay: £12.94 per hour.
Shift Pattern: 4 on 2 off or 4 on 4 off

  • Hours per week: 40 hours per week.
  • Shift Timing: Example times below.
  • Weekly Pay(every Friday).
  • Temp to Perm (performance based).

Confirmed start dates:

  • 2nd April 202 8th April 202 15th April 2024

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • You will be working both airside and within the Undercroft (baggage unit).
  • You will be required to adapt to adverse weather conditions, such as rain, snow, or extreme temperatures, to ensure the safety and efficiency of ground operations.
  • Collaborate with other ramp agents, ground handling staff, and airline personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the airport and the timely turnaround of the aircraft.
  • Full training will be given(5 days classroombased training and shadowing).
  • Full PPE will be provided.

An example of the shift hours:4 on 4 off rolling (Nights)**:

  • Night 1: 19:00PM to 07:00AM
  • Night 2: 19:00PM to 07:00AM
  • Night 3: 19:00PM to 07:00AM
  • Night 4: 19:00PM to 07:00AM

4 on 2 off rolling (Days):

  • Day 1: 03:00AM to 10:30AM
  • Day 2: 05:00AM to 14:00PM
  • Day 3: 12:00PM to 22:00PM

Requirements:

  • A Full manual driving licence is mandatory.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative, while being part of a team.
  • Right to Work in the UK.
  • Five year fully checkable reference history.
  • Ability to pass Criminal Record Check (CRC).
