An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Nursing Associate to work on Digestive Disease Unit This is a 50 bedded unit, primarily taking acute and complex conditions such as patients with Liver Disease and Digestive Diseases.


General duties will include administration of medication, including controlled drugs, by various routes, recording of physiological observations, wound care, management of complex patients with multiple issues, escalating care when needed to MDT and Acute Care Team, management of pain management, as well different methods of delivering nutrition including TPN, NG and NJ feeding.

Documentation is also an essential part of the role, with accurate, legible recording of nursing interventions and completion of electronic nursing risk assessments.

We aim to involve our patients in their care to improve nursing outcomes and ensure the patient's journey through their time with us is a satisfactory one.

Delivering safe, personal and effective care to our patients must be at the centre of all we do.
