We are seeking to recruit a part-time School Administrator to join the team at King's St Alban's Prep-School, Worcester, commencing September 2024.

The postholder will become an integral member of the school community, working alongside our experienced School Secretary, providing essential day-to-day school administration duties which will include:

  • Assist the Head and the staff team in the smooth running of the School on a day-to-day basis.
  • Work alongside the School Secretary, providing cover for Reception, welcoming visitors to the School and responding to enquiries as appropriate in a professional manner.
  • Taking messages and ensuring that information is passed to the correct member of staff accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Ensuring all visitors sign in and out, confirming relevant identification checks have been completed.
  • Deal with general school office enquiries and duties.
  • Work alongside the School Secretary to maintain uptodate pupil contact and medical records.
  • Assist in organising, and attend meetings and events such as social evenings, school concerts, carol services and the end of year King's St Alban's Day celebrations.
  • Contribute to the management of the school calendar.
  • Prepare registers for sign out and assist in the sign out of pupils at the end of the school day.
  • Undertake other school office work as may be reasonably requested by the Head or Deputy Head.

Hours of work:

This is a part-time, term time only role with a working pattern of 17.5 hours per week, 2.30pm - 6.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Flexibility may be required.


Staff are advised to maintain an attitude of "it could be happening here and probably is" as far as safeguarding is concerned and should always act in the best interest of the child.

All staff are expected to actively promote and safeguard the welfare of all pupils.

As this post involves significant contact with children and the postholder might sometimes be responsible for children, they will be considered to be in regulated activity and must report any concerns in a timely manner.

All staff must also attend annual safeguarding training and have proper regard for the School's safeguarding policy and procedures.
