The Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) is responsible for overseeing the Police and Crime Commissioner role in London, led by the Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime.

As the manager, you will lead the development of a robust Data Governance Framework to guarantee compliance with all regulations and maximize data efficiency.

This role involves establishing and maintaining data protection protocols, providing training sessions, and overseeing Data Champions within the organization.

By identifying data management issues, updating governance tools, and collaborating with various MOPAC teams, you will play a vital role in maintaining data integrity.

Political Restriction:

According to the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 (as amended by the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011), all MOPAC staff members are subject to political restrictions and cannot apply for exemption.

Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK and must have been residents for the last three consecutive years.

In addition to competitive compensation and a civil service pension, the benefits include 28.5 days of annual leave, interest-free season ticket loans, and flexible working arrangements.

MOPAC now follows a hybrid work model, with office hubs at Union Street (near London Bridge) and Newlands Park (postcode SE26).

Employees typically work 1-2 days a week from an office hub, depending on their role requirements.
