Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide essential support to patients and assist in delivering high-quality care. Your role will involve communicating with patients, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring their comfort and well-being.

Duties:

  • Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals
  • Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Help patients with mobility and transfers, using appropriate techniques and equipment
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
  • Administer medication under the supervision of a healthcare professional
  • Assist in the implementation of care plans for patients
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care

Skills:

  • Previous experience in home care or healthcare setting is preferred
  • Proficient in using basic IT systems for documentation purposes
  • Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow them accurately
  • Familiarity with working in a care home environment is an advantage
  • Valid driver's license is preferred but not mandatory
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
