Meet Mary:
Mary is a spirited and engaging individual with a heart full of joy and a love for life. Mary has Down's Syndrome and a learning disability, making her truly special in their own way.

Mary brings laughter and warmth to those around them, and with your help, they're eager to embrace new adventures and regain their independence.

- In this support package, our overall main aim is to:

  • Increase her social side and getting out and about into the community
  • Exploring new and alternative activities; for example, going out on day trips to the coast or going out for lunches etc.
  • A typical day as a support worker for her will be to encourage her out of bed, supporting through her morning routine. Most mornings start with her relaxing and watching her iPad in bed, she has breakfast before jointly deciding where or what she would like to do for the day, She appreciates her support workers thinking of places that she will be interested in and giving her options or showing her places on the iPad, then getting ready and heading out for whatever adventure lies ahead. Some recent trips she's enjoyed include; coffee shops and walk into woodlands.
  • She has a friendly demeanour, and is wanting to get out and about in her community and further afield. She enjoys a laugh and some friendly banter with the people she meets and, this will be key in being able to motivate to attend and be a part of planned activities. This is a fantastic case to work on and we are looking for someone to complete her support team, someone who is as fun and outgoing as she is.
  • She loves to learn, her inquisitive, and likes to know about his support team, especially their background, life stories,
  • She needs prompts in personal care, daily
