An exciting opportunity has arisen for an administrative post within the National Spinal Injuries Centre supporting the Neurogenic Bladder & Bowel Nursing team at Stoke Mandeville Hospital.

This post is fixed term and is in partnership with Hollister.


You will act as a key point of contact for the specialist nursing team and provide administrative support to enable the team to efficiently deliver optimum patient care.

Duties will be varied and dependent upon the support needed on a daily basis, by the nursing staff. The post holder will be expected to carry out assigned tasks.


The post holder will be expected to support Neurogenic Bladder & Bowel Specialist Nurses to ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient running of the team.

As part of the multi-disciplinary team the post holder will contribute to the efficient seamless service provision with a high standard of clerical work, thereby releasing nursing time to undertake clerical duties.


  • Communicate efficiently with patients and their visitors, in order to promote their comfort and wellbeing.
  • Liaise directly with patient's face to face and via the telephone in a confident and competent manner, ensuring that appropriate information is gathered for the team to triage the patients' requirements accordingly.
  • Preparation of any necessary results and reports prior to clinics. Send appointments and information following MDT meetings as directed by Neurogenic Bladder & Bowel Nurses.
