A 2 form entry school in Erdington are looking for a Teaching Assistant with a wide range of experience working with children with SEND, to work on a 1:1 basis with a Year 2 child with ASD and SEMH in the mornings, and do small group interventions in theafternoons.

This role may also require personal care.
The role is 5 days per week.
This role will be situated in a lovely school with really passionate staff, and a great leadership team.

  • Level 3 qualification minimum
  • Long term (an academic term or more) experience of working with children on a 11 basis
  • SEND experience covering Autism and lower level ability
  • Able to communicate and build rapport with the children you support
  • Confident in communicating with the SENCO, leadership team and parents
  • Passionate about working with SEND children & dedicated to helping them thrive and
achieve
targets set in line with their individual education plan's (IEP)

  • Meticulous when it comes to completing IEP's to ensure everything is covered and the
child's accomplishments are recorded and rewarded
