Job Overview:

  • Maintenance Assistant covering but not limited to the following tasks:
  • Basic plumbing repairs/leaks, replacing toilet seats, basic frontline fixes, general DIY (locks, hinges etc. Oiling), checks on roads/paths, battery bins, beck flows, ongoing removal of hand towel dispensers, receiving deliveries/orders, checking gulley's & drains, escorting visitors around site, ladder checks, basic plant checks, 2nd man (working at height) duties, basic covering for holidays when one of the Engineers Mates is on leave. PAT Testing, use of fork lift truck.

Main Duties

First response to First fix Plumbing, replacing toilet seats and General Maintenance Sitewide

Portable Appliance Testing

Emergency Shower Flushing
Support
high level cleaning,
Support
furniture moves

Clean of drain & Gulleys

Operation of door handles/door closers,
C
ondition of signs,
C
leaning of air vents,

Working at height, stepladders / ladders

Plan and execute necessary works/Plan necessary works/timescales**
Escalate any issues with Manager for support is needed to progress works**
Complete required paperwork

Keeping customer updated of plans and possible disruption to area**Managing c
ustomer expectation/satisfaction

Ensuring 5S is maintained during works and area is returned to customer complete and to a high standard
Use of forklift trucks/MEWPs - Banksman duties

Escorting visitors and Tradespeople across the Site

What we are looking for:

Previous experience of working in a similar environment

Willingness to undertake training

Must be literate, understand health & safety working practices and the need to provide Clients with a safe working environment

Strong customer focus, a desire to deliver a quality service.

Must be able to respond appropriately to the needs of the Client in a professional manner

Reliable, punctual, self-motivated

Must demonstrate high personal standards of hygiene & Cleanliness

An ability to work in a team environment working together to develop & continually improve the service

Organised and skilled in multi-tasking

Able to work off their own initiative and with mínimal direction

Flexible and proactive

Full drivers' licence

Ability to prioritise variable workloads

Team player with an enthusiastic attitude

Always Observe the dress code - With full compliance to PPE requirments

Be able to pass a health screening and maintain a Fork lift truck license

Complete all equipment training as required to fulfil the full remit of the role to include but not limited to pressure washer systems,

Desired Portable Appliance trained to City & Guilds Standard or be able to study to this standard
