Giggle Broadband is a well-funded new start up with a core purpose to break down the digital divide in Glasgow, and beyond, by delivering fast, fair broadband to all residents, prioritising those in social housing.

We are now building our team in Glasgow and looking for people who are excited as us about the opportunity to make a genuine difference as we empower communities across the city with affordable, accessible, gigabit broadband.

We are looking for a
Head of PR who can hit the ground running by engaging initially with key stakeholders, communities and media to establish our new brand and then engage more directly with our target customers in the local communities where we are providing gigabit broadband services.


Addressing the digital divide is at the centre of our business and we need someone who is equally passionate about achieving this goal.

Our priority is to provide fast, fair broadband to residents of social housing in the city of Glasgow which means engaging with Housing Associations, Local Authorities, and the wider community to get our message to those who will benefit most from our service.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Significant experience in a similar PR role engaging with stakeholders.
  • Passionate about tackling the digital divide in Glasgow.
  • Excellent communicator; both written, verbal and a confident presenter and spokesperson.
  • Extremely well organised with focus on attention to detail.
  • Experienced in both creating plans and executing strategies.
  • Strong collaboration, internally and externally with stakeholders and partners.
  • Motivating manager and people leader.
  • Knowledge of Telco/broadband sector beneficial but not essential.
  • Confident working of own initiative in a startup environment.

What you will be responsible for delivering:

Leadership and strategy


Reporting to our Marketing Director, you will be responsible for developing & implementing our PR strategy and being the initial point of contact within the business for the media, key community and industry stakeholders.


Stakeholder Management
The digital divide exists because most commercial models do not prioritise fast, fair and accessible connectivity for everyone.

We at Giggle have this at the core of what we do but we will need to convince stakeholders that we mean business, be that in Housing Associations, local authority, Community groups.

We need an excellent communicator who can be the face of our business as we empower communities with better broadband for all.

Attending/presenting at meetings, building 1:1 relationships, organising events etc.

PR Management


As a new brand we need to build and establish our presence in the city through positive sentiment in earned and paid media, events and sponsorship opportunities.

You will be responsible for developing our plans and executing those in conjunction with your Community team, Sales and Marketing colleagues as well as external agency partners.
