Purpose
To provide a professional, proactive, customer focussed business administrative service to the organisation (function-based).

Roles at this level will be responsible for the following examples of complex co-ordination, decision making and management of sensitive data across the Business Support service, including a specialist understanding of the following:
Functional Business Support teams

  • Complex cases in Finance Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams
  • Coordination, booking and logistics for the Council's learning and development programme
  • Coordination and administration of statutory meetings (including Children's and Adult Safeguarding Panels)
  • ICT technical support to resolve user faults and queries
  • Personal Assistants to Divisional Directors
Locality Business Support teams

Senior administrative co-ordination, planning and service delivery to the Council's operational services, including:

  • Children and Families division (via Juniper House).
  • Adult Social Care and Centre Administration (via Willow House)
  • Neighbourhoods Services (via Low Hall and Sycamore House)
  • Business Employment and Skills (via Queens Road)
  • Early Help, School Admissions and SEN (via Rowan House), and the,
  • Coroners Service

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Experience of having worked in a fast faced, customer focused environment.
  • Relevant legislative and or procedural knowledge for specialist area.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, using problem solving skills and initiative to provide a customer focussed support service.
  • Excellent levels of literacy and numeracy.
  • Ability to work flexibly, balancing competing priorities and meeting deadlines whilst understanding the needs, timescales and deadlines of others
  • Ability to deal diplomatically and confidentially with a wider range of stakeholders internally and externally
  • Ability to identify improvements to processes and systems and to share the recommendations with the wider team.

Job Types:
Part-time, Temp to perm

Part-time hours: 27 per week

From £16.35 per hour
