Job Summary:


We are currently seeking a dedicated Counter Staff member to join our team in providing excellent customer service and assisting in food preparation at our bustling restaurant.


Duties:

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting menu items
  • Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Handle cash transactions and operate the till with precision
  • Prepare simple food items such as sandwiches, salads, and beverages
  • Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the counter area and dining space
  • Uphold food safety standards and regulations at all times
  • Utilise basic maths skills for cash handling and order processing
  • Assist in the kitchen with food preparation tasks if needed
  • Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer experience
  • Manage time effectively to meet customer demands promptly

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the culinary or restaurant industry is advantageous
  • Proficient in basic maths for handling transactions accurately
  • Ability to work well in a fastpaced environment and remain calm under pressure
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
  • Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively
  • Capability to assist in kitchen tasks during busy periods
